history

After the founders had known each other for several years through projects in the field of electromobility, they founded the company in 2017. Together with the Chinese manufacturer Jiayuan EV , a prototype was developed that received European approval in the same year and was initially only sold in the Czech Republic via the sales partner v elorXtrike sro . Its vehicles entered the German market in 2018, at that time under the name VXT-Deutschland OHG . This sales company has been operating under the name ARI Motors GmbH since 2019 , with "ARI" corresponding to the Japanese word for "ant". The company works with over 600 partners from Automeister GmbH and Point S Deutschland GmbH throughout Germany to ensure that its vehicles are serviced.

Model range

The electric vehicles are based on those of the Chinese manufacturer Jiayuan EV , based in Nanjing , which supplies the vehicle platforms. In a factory in the Prague suburb of Říčany , these platforms are provided with individual superstructures and converted for the European market.

The focus of production is on the ARI 458 electric transporter, the body variants of which have expanded from two to eight over the years. For example, a tipper and an alcove variant were developed. In addition, further individual and industry-specific assembly solutions are developed together with customers. In addition to the electric transporter, ARI Motos also offers cargo mopeds (ARI 145) and passenger vehicles (ARI 802/804). The latter is also available with speed limits of 25 km / h or 45 km / h, which enables operation with a moped license plate .

credentials

At the end of 2019, the online mail order company Zalando started a project in Hamburg, which uses several electric transporters from ARI Motors. The project with the “Small Footprint, Big Benefit” (German: “Small Footprint, Big Benefit”) was launched for the climate-friendly delivery of goods on the day of the order.

The company Tier Mobility GmbH uses the electric transporter ARI 458 as part of its e-scooter rental system in Halle an der Saale to exchange the batteries of the e-scooters in the city area.

The Green politician Stephan Kühn visited ARI Motors at the end of 2019 as part of his work for the promotion of light electric vehicles at the federal level. The politician wrote in his blog: “The purchase of a hybrid vehicle weighing several tons is currently subsidized with 4,000 euros, but the purchase of a light vehicle that only drives electrically is not subsidized. This is a paradoxical incentive system. ”The von Kühn party has repeatedly called for the so-called environmental bonus to be extended to vehicles in the light classes L6e and L7e .
