The ATE IVb were quadruple coupled freight trains - steam locomotives of the kk priv. Aussig-Teplitz railway .

history

Especially for the difficult trassierte Nordbohemian Transversal from Teplitz to Reichenberg the Aussig-Teplitz Railway from 1897 required new powerful locomotives for universal use. Based on the model of the ATE IVa supplied by the Sächsische Maschinenfabrik in Chemnitz , the Wiener Neustädter Lokomotivfabrik developed a quadruple coupled locomotive.

The Wiener Neustädter Lokomotivfabrik and the Lokomotivfabrik Floridsdorf each manufactured five locomotives in 1897 with the track numbers 101 to 105 (Wr. Neustadt 4007-4011) and 106 to 110 (Floridsdorf). They were named GINZKEY , LOBOSITZ , BORESLAU , SCHIMA , WOPPARN , RADOBIL , KREUZBERG , KLETSCHEN , LOBOSCH and MONDSCHEIN .

After the nationalization of ATE (1924), the locomotives were given the new series designation 412.1 by the Czechoslovak State Railways ČSD  .

Even during the ČSD era, the locomotives stayed on their main line. As a splinter class, the locomotives were retired and scrapped until the 1930s. None of the ATE IVb locomotives have been preserved in museums.
