A & Z is an Egyptian trance duo consisting of Abdelrahman Ragab (A) and Ahmed El-Zeiny (Z).

history

Ahmadrahman Ragab and Ahmed El-Zeiny both loved spiritual trance (music) and started producing separately in 2009 until they decided to work together as a duo in 2010.

2011 saw her debut release, New Dawn , which premiered in July 2010 on Aly & Fila's radio show FSOE 142. After the early years they mainly publish on FSOE Recordings or alternatively on Armin van Buuren's Armada Music / A State Of Trance . These included some collaborations with Ahmed Romel and remixes for greats such as Aly & Fila , Andrea Ribeca and Audrey Gallagher . In 2018, their remix to Aly & Filas Paralyzed was voted "Best Remix" at the Trance Podium Awards 2018 at number 7.

They first appeared as DJs in 2013 when they appeared at the FSOE 300 in Sharm El Sheikh alongside greats such as Aly & Fila , Markus Schulz and Ruben De Ronde. In 2015, the FSOE 400 made an appearance in front of the pyramids of Giza . Here found the Future Sound of Egypt for the first time since Jean-Michel Jarre's electronic music event at the pyramids appearance in 2000 instead and thus the duo alongside Aly & Fila, Jean-Michel Jarre or counts Armin van Buuren of the few DJs with this experience. There are also appearances at festivals such as Tomorrowland , Amsterdam Dance Event , Luminosity and various club nights in Egypt, Argentina, Germany, in the Netherlands or in Spain on Ibiza and in the capital Madrid .
