A Christmas Carol in Gore (UT: Being a Butcher's Story of Christmas ) is a German Independent - Short of Master W. The 16-minute splatter film is loosely based on Charles Dickens ' A Christmas Carol .

action

The butcher is preparing for Christmas. At home alone, he wants to spend Christmas alone with roasts, dumplings and red cabbage. But the doorbell keeps ringing. Children who collect Christmas donations for people in Iraq or punks who beg for money. The cellar beast uses this to finish the Christmas roast unnoticed.

In anger, the butcher runs outside and confronts a horde of bums who are discussing Kierkegaard and Adorno and asks them about his Christmas. He severed all limbs of one of them because he did not like his answers. The second, however, fearlessly explains to him that three bloody beasts will haunt him.

The first, the beast of Christmas past, appears to him in the form of a stuffed animal from Santa Claus that his father had once given him for Christmas. He cuts off his head before the beast can finish speaking. In the kitchen he represents the spirit of the present Christmas. It's the figure who stole his Christmas roast. He avoids him with a targeted blow.

Outside he meets the beast of Christmas to come. It shows him his future: later on Christmas Eve he is chased, stoned and hung up by the villagers with torches. When the mayor's hanging takes too long, he is beaten to death. In the end, one of the diggers pees on his grave.

The butcher wakes up the next morning. The doorbell rings and an old woman asks him for a donation. At first it seems like he's looking for change. But when the woman continues, he pulls her around the apartment. The last scene shows him feasting on her brain as a Christmas dinner.
