After the first season, the club could not agree on a further cooperation with the hall operator in Eschweiler, so that the club's home games have been held in the Tivoli ice rink in Aachen since the 2008/09 season. The club rose from 2008 to 2011 from the regional league to the Regional League West .
- EHC
- In May 2012, the EHC Eschweiler "Die Grizzlies eV" was founded. As the purchase and renovation of the Eschweiler ice rink was not financially viable for the club and no property was available for a new hall in Eschweiler, the decision was made to build a multifunctional hall according to air-supported construction. The air dome near the Merzbrück airfield is to be realized, until then the team will use the Tivoli ice rink . In the medium term, the club wants to participate in the championship operation of the NRW ice hockey leagues. A first attempt to start operating the league failed in the summer of 2013/14
