The Aargau Transport AG (AVA) based in Aarau is a transport company in Switzerland . It was created on June 19, 2018 through the merger of BDWM Transport (BDWM) and Wynental- und Suhrentalbahn (WSB).
Route network
The route network of Aargau Verkehr consists of meter-gauge railway lines
- Wohlen – Bremgarten – Dietikon of the former BDWM Transport as S17 of the Zurich S-Bahn
- Aarau – Menziken and Aarau – Schöftland of the Wynental and Suhrentalbahn (WSB) as S14 of the Aargau S-Bahn
- From September 2019 Limmattalbahn Zurich-Altstetten - Schlieren Geissweid and 2022 further to Killwangen-Spreitenbach
Limmat Bus , founded in 2002, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aargau Verkehr. In 2002 she took over the management of the bus routes in the Limmattal and in 2006 the bus routes in the Zofingen area (the latter in cooperation with SBB until 2017 , since then independent).
history
On June 19, 2018, the general assemblies of the two predecessor companies decided to merge BDWM and WSB to form Aargau Verkehr. Thus disappears the common management of WSB and bus operation Aarau and in 2003 introduced the room Aarau Brand Name AAR bus + bahn , whereby the bus operation Aarau independently again as BBA bus Aarau appears in public. BDWM and WSB, however, are retained as product names . The two companies had been operationally managed together since the beginning of 2018. The implementation of the new corporate identity is taking place gradually and is likely to be associated with considerable costs.

Aargau Verkehr is organized in the form of a public limited company under private law . The shares are distributed as follows:
