The tariff association A-Welle is a tariff association in Switzerland . It was created on December 12, 2004 (introduction of Bahn 2000 ) from the merger of the Aargau tariff association and the Olten tariff association. The composite rate initially covered only subscriptions , starting in December 2009, he was also introduced for single tickets.

The area covered by the tariff association covers the entire canton of Aargau with the exception of the districts of Laufenburg and Rheinfelden (which belong to the tariff association Northwest Switzerland ) and the eastern districts of Gäu , Gösgen , Olten and Thal in the canton of Solothurn . Most of the zones of the A-wave can be combined with zones of neighboring compounds; this includes the Hochrhein-Ticket together with the Waldshut tariff association and the Z-Pass together with the Zürcher Verkehrsverbund .
