Aaron Isaakowitsch Sundelewitsch ( Russian Аарон Исаакович Зунделевич ; born 1853 or 1854 in Vilnius , Russian Empire ; died August 30, 1923 in London ) was a Russian Social Revolutionary ( Narodniki ).

Life

Sundelevich grew up in a lower- middle-class Jewish family . He joined the revolutionary movement in the early 1870s . As a member of the secret society Land and Freiheit , he advocated the use of terror as a means of political struggle. In 1877 he acquired equipment from abroad and organized a "free press" in Saint Petersburg to disseminate Narodnik material. In autumn 1879 he joined the organization Narodnaya Volja ( People's Will ). As an elected member of the Executive Committee, he was responsible for relations with foreign groups. On October 28, 1879 Sundelewitsch was arrested in 1880 in the process 16 to life in detention condemned. In 1898 he was transferred to a settlement near Tschita and was released again after the revolution of 1905 . In 1907 he emigrated to England .
