Aaron John McIntosh (born January 7, 1972 in Auckland ) is a former New Zealand windsurfer .

successes

Aaron McIntosh took part in the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta and 2000 in Sydney in the Mistral boat class . In 1996, with 27 points, he just missed a medal win in fourth place, but four years later he finally managed to win the bronze medal. His 48 points were enough for third place behind Christoph Sieber and Carlos Espínola . McIntosh was world champion three times in the Mistral class: 1994 in Gimli , 1997 in Perth and 1998 in Brest . In addition, he won two silver and one bronze medals at world championships .

McIntosh has been the trainer of Dorian van Rijsselberghe , who became Olympic champion in windsurfing in 2012 and 2016, since 2008 .
