Aase Texmon Rygh
Aase Texmon Rygh (born April 13, 1925 in Troms ; † May 21, 2019 ) was a Norwegian sculptor .
life and work
Aase Texmon Rygh studied from 1944 to 1946 at the Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry in Oslo and from 1948 to 1949 at the Royal Danish Art Academy in Copenhagen with Einar Utzon-Frank.
The Möbius strip , which conceptually embodies the paradox of having an “inner outside” and an “outer inside”, is of central importance in Texmon Rygh's work.
Several of her works can be seen in public spaces in Norway.
