Abaddon Incarnate is a death metal band with grindcore influences from Dublin , Ireland .

history

The band was formed in Dublin in 1989 as Bereaved . The first demo Signs of Death came out after three years, followed by Tortured Souls in 1994. With the 1995 demo When the Demons Come , the band renamed itself to Abaddon Incarnate. In 1996 the band released a 2-track promo that caught the attention of the independent label Season of Mist , which the band signed. The debut album entitled The Last Supper was recorded in Finland and mastered by James Murphy in Florida . After Rob Tierney left, Corey Sloan (including Arcane Sun and Fifth Dominion ) joined the band. The band subsequently appeared in the opening act for Morbid Angel and Impending Doom .

With the 2001 album Nadir , the band switched to the Irish label Sentinel. The album was recorded at Soundlab Studios in Sweden under the direction of Mieszko Talarczyk ( Nasum ). After a few line-up changes, the third album Dark Crusade was released on Xtreem Music in 2003 .

The fourth album Cascade was released in 2009 on Metal Age Productions . In 2011 a split CD with Phobia followed .

Music genre

Abaddon Incarnate plays a mix of Death Metal and Grindcore , sometimes referred to as Deathgrind . The lyrics of the band are anti-Christian oriented.
