Abdul Hameed Siddiqui
Abdul Hameed Siddiqui (born May 21, 1923 in Gujranwala , Punjab , Pakistan ; died April 18, 1978 ibid.) Was a Sunni Islamic scholar and Koran exegete . He translated the Sahih Muslim (a Hadith - collection ) into English .

Abdul Hameed Siddiqui was born on May 21, 1923 in Gujranwala, Punjab, Pakistan. He first worked as an English teacher at an Islamic high school in Gujranwala. After an additional degree in economics (MA at the University of the Punjab (Jāmiʿah-i Panjāb) in Lahore ), he later taught in Gujranwala and Lahore. He was the associate editor of Tarjumān al-Qurʾān . Siddiqui belonged to the political party Jamāʿat-i Islāmī Pākistān ( Islamic Community of Pakistan ). For the History of Muslim Philosophy ( A History of Muslim Philosophy ) by MM Sharif (ed.) He contributed two chapters (Volume II): Chapter 72 (Renaissance in Arabia , Yemen , Iraq , Syria and Lebanon : Muhammad Bin 'Abd al -Wahhab and His Movement) and Chapter 79 (Renaissance in Indo-Pakistan: Shah Wali Allah Dihlawi ). Siddiqui was Professor of Economics at Islamia College in Lahore. He was a member of the Islamic Research Academy in Karachi.
