Abdul Sabur Farid Kuhestani

Abdul Sabur Farid Kuhestani (* 1952 , † May 3, 2007 ) was an Afghan politician from Kapisa province .

From July 6, 1992 to August 15, 1992, he was Prime Minister of Afghanistan. Kuhestani was a member of the Islamist party Hezb-i Islāmī of Afghanistan, whose political leader Gulbuddin Hekmatyār succeeded him in the office of prime minister. He served as a senator in the upper house of the Afghan parliament. He was previously the commander of the mujahideen in his province and a follower of Gulbuddin Hekmatyārs. On May 3, 2007, he was killed in a shooting outside his home in Kabul .
