Only Mohammad Ahmed Etemadi ( Pashtun محمد نور احمد اعتمادي; * February 22, 1921 in Kandahar ; † August 10, 1979 ) was an Afghan diplomat and politician.

From 1964 to 1965 he was a member of the constituent assembly. Mohammad Nur Ahmad Etemadi was ambassador to Pakistan for the first time from 1964 to 1965 . In 1965 Mohammed Daoud Khan appointed him foreign minister. In addition to the post of Foreign Minister, he held the post of Prime Minister from November 1, 1967 to 1971. For his recall from these two offices and his dispatch as ambassador to Rome , an unsatisfactory economic development and a lack of support in the Loja Jirga were stated. So he was not an obstacle to the abolition of the monarchy in Afghanistan. From 1974 to 1976 he was ambassador to Moscow , then he was again ambassador to Pakistan.

He was arrested during the Saur Revolution on April 27, 1978 and executed during the government of Nur Muhammad Taraki .
