The Abel Matutes is a ferry of the Spanish shipping company Balearia that was put into service in 2010 . It is used on the route from Valencia to Palma and Barcelona .

history

The Abel Matutes was built under construction number 1661 near Lisnave in Setúbal . On December 12, 2009, the ship was towed to the Astillero Barreras shipyard in Vigo for equipment . The delivery to Balearia took place on April 23, 2010. In May 2010 the Abel Matutes started ferry operations between Valencia, Palma and Barcelona. The ship is named after the Spanish entrepreneur and politician Abel Matutes .

The Abel Matutes is currently the largest and most modern ship in the Balearia fleet. It has, among other things, several lounges, bars, lounges and shops. The normal occupancy of the ferry is 850 people, the maximum capacity 900 people. The Abel Matutes has private cabins for up to 364 people.
