Abner Biberman

Abner Biberman (born April 1, 1909 in Milwaukee , Wisconsin , USA , † June 20, 1977 in San Diego , California ) was an American actor , director and screenwriter . He has also been mentioned as Joel Judge in some films .

life and career

He worked on Broadway in the 1930s before moving to Hollywood at the end of the decade. The small, exotic-looking Biberman was first seen as an actor in supporting roles in films such as The Roaring Twenties , His Girl for Special Cases and The Laughing Bomb . Biberman was often used in rogue roles, for example as a gangster or during the war years as a Japanese in propaganda films . Biberman is said to have helped Tony Curtis deal with the fight scenes on his first action film. He is also said to have cast actors for films from the 1950s. He later established himself as a director of series classics, such as Smoking Colts and 77 Sunset Strip , as well as several B-films . He also wrote a script for the film "Revenge on Haiti" ( The Golden Mistress ).
