The Abbey Cerisy-la-Forêt was the Duke of Normandy Robert the Magnificent , the father of William the Conqueror , founded in 1032nd
The current abbey church is essentially a reconstruction from the last quarter of the 11th century .
The church, built according to the Benedictine blueprint, was shortened in 1811 by a large part of its nave by removing five yokes. The interior of the church is divided into three height levels (large round arches with articulated columns, stands, high windows).
