The Accell Group NV is a publicly listed Dutch holding company , which through various brands and subsidiaries bicycles at production sites in the Netherlands , Germany , Finland , France , Belgium and Hungary manufactures and sells. The company emerged from the bicycle manufacturer Koga-Miyata .
In April 2017 it became known that the two large Dutch bicycle manufacturers Pon (Gazelle, Cervelo, Union) and the Accell Group were planning a merger. This would have created the largest wheel manufacturer in the world. However, the companies could not agree on the terms. Accell ultimately rejected Pon’s takeover offer of € 845 million.
