Aces of the Pacific

Aces of the Pacific (English: "Aces of the Pacific") is a computer game . It is a flight simulation that takes place in the Pacific Ocean at the time of the Second World War . Aces of the Pacific was developed by Dynamix Inc. and published in 1992. It is the successor to the excellent flight simulation Red Baron from 1990. In 1993, Aces over Europe, a continuation of the series with Europe as the scene, appeared.

In addition to the main game, Dynamix released an expansion WWII: 1946 . It deals with the hypothetical course of the war as it could have happened without the US Army dropping the atomic bomb .

The game includes a wide variety of aircraft from that time, including the P-51 Mustang or Mitsubishi A6M (Zero) . With the additional diskette, other aircraft were added, such as the Lockheed P-80 , Nakajima J9Y (Kikka) and some prototypes. In addition to training missions and campaigns, you can re-enact historical missions or air battles on the American or Japanese side (e.g. the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941). This is rounded off by a lot of background information, which also extends to the aircraft and American and Japanese aviators.
