Live and act

Achaz II von Zehmen studied in 1549/50 in Frankfurt / Oder at the Alma Mater Viadrina . In 1559 he appears as Kgl. Commissioner in the state parliament of Marienburg and then in 1565 in a letter from Duke Albrecht von Brandenburg-Ansbach . In 1566 he became Voivode of Pomerania in place of his uncle Fabian I. von Zehmen and took his oath on October 10th at the Michaelis Landtag in Marienburg. Christburg denied the Kingdom of Poland to the Zehmen Brothers (Christoph, Fabian II. And Achaz II.), But they stormed it in December 1572. This approach caused a tremendous sensation in Warsaw. The Prussian state parliament campaigned for Zehmen and in April 1573 a settlement was made with the Polish nobles. In the courageous defense of Prussian national rights at the Reichstag in Lublin in 1574, Achaz II of Zehmen walked in the footsteps of his father and uncle. Since the Polish Kingdom was vigorously striving to abolish the West Prussian rights, its well-known prophecy or protest followed: "One day a mighty man will come over them and deal with them as they do with the Prussians today." The fate of West Prussia alone was already sealed, the defenders of the land rights were subject, but the prophecy came true in the person of Frederick II (Prussia) . In the 20th century, fate struck again several times. In 1577 Achaz II. Zehmen Christburg and Lichtenfelde again inherited.
