Achim Kunze

Achim Kunze (born May 5, 1932 in Stockheim , Borna district ; † February 29, 1992 ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life

Achim Kunze attended elementary school from 1938 to 1946 and did an agricultural apprenticeship from 1946 to 1949. From 1949 to 1952 he attended the ABF Leipzig . He studied veterinary medicine at the University of Leipzig from 1952 to 1957 and completed his studies with a doctorate. He wrote his dissertation in 1970 at the Humboldt University in Berlin. Then he worked in the state veterinary practice in Brüel and as a district veterinarian in Sternberg. He was a member of the Association of Veterinarians and chairman of the Brüel eV beekeeping association

Achim Kunze was married for the second time until his death in 1992 and had one child out of it. The previous marriage resulted in 2 children.

politics

In 1949 he joined the bloc party Democratic Peasant Party of Germany. With the merger of DBD and CDU, he became a member of the CDU in 1990 and was deputy district chairman in Hagenow.

Since the local elections in May 1990 he was a member of the district council and chairman of the committee for agriculture, environment and tourism. In the state elections in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in 1990 he was elected as a direct candidate in constituency 12 (Sternberg / Güstrow II) with 39.2% of the votes in the state parliament of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

With his resignation on May 31, 1991, he left the state parliament. The successor was Peter Haeske .
