Acoustic Sunset - Live at the Longhouse is the first live album by the band Hypnogaja that was recorded during the Below Sunset tour and co-produced by Wendy Waldman. The songs were played with acoustic instruments throughout the tour. A total of 12 live acoustic songs and a studio recording are on the CD. This is called "I'm Not One of You" and serves as a promotion for Audio from the Last Night's Dream . Wendy Waldman wrote the lyrics for this song. The album was released in 2006 on Union State Records and Longhouse Records. The first 10 songs of the live album come from the previous album Below Sunset , Lullaby from the album Bridge to Nowhere and the compilation Kill Switch . The song Outside, Looking In , like Lullaby, comes from the album Bridge to Nowhere .

criticism
Susie Salva of All Access Magazine described the band's music as moody, describing it as a good mix of classical music and melodic rock, with the lyrics giving a deeper look into fluctuating relationships. According to Salva, the songs have a melancholy and interesting effect, even if she finds the melody tormenting. Misery invites the listener into a broken world of emotions, says Salva, where a partner feels so bad that he can no longer think clearly. With Here Comes the Rain Again , a cover song by the band Eurythmics (also on the album Below Sunset) is included on this album, which is reminiscent of Marilyn Manson in terms of melody . Looking Glass is the story of Alice in Wonderland and makes the listener think that they themselves fell into the rabbit hole. In addition, the characters of the talking cat, the mad hatter and Alice herself appear in this song. They Don't Care describes the situation in which people say words that hurt others inside, but make no secret of how other people perceive these words. Hypnogaja lives up to its name in that their songs have a dreamy, melodic quality and contain intense lyrics. Salva describes the music style as modern hard rock with sweet acoustic melodies.
