Adelio Tomasin

Adelio Giuseppe Tomasin PSDP ( Portuguese Adélio José Tomasin ; born April 27, 1930 in Montegaldella ) is an Italian clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic bishop of Quixadá .

Life

Adelio Giuseppe Tomasin joined the Order of the Poor Servants of Divine Providence , made profession on October 17, 1951 and was ordained a priest on March 26, 1955 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Quixadá on March 16, 1988. The Archbishop of Porto Alegre , João Cláudio Colling , donated him episcopal ordination on March 26th of the same year ; Co-consecrators were Alfredo Vicente Cardinal Scherer , senior archbishop of Porto Alegre, and Thadeu Gomes Canellas , auxiliary bishop in Porto Alegre.

On January 3, 2007, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related resignation.
