Ad de Bont

Ad de Bont (born May 9, 1949 in Amsterdam ) is a Dutch playwright , librettist and director .

Ad de Bont is one of the most played authors in Germany. He completed his training as a teacher with special training in play and theater pedagogy at the Pedagogical Academy in Amsterdam. He then studied at the Cabaret Academy and worked as an actor.

Since 1982 de Bont has directed the theater group "Wederzijds"

Awards

De Bont received numerous awards, including the “First International Ostakino Prize” in Moscow in 1994 and the German Children's Theater Prize in 1998. In 2010 he was awarded the “12th prize in Duisburg ”. Dutch-German Child and Youth Dramatist Prize ”and in 2014 he received the Charlotte Köhler Prize .
