Adam Chubb (born July 5, 1981 in Harrisburg , Pennsylvania ) is an American basketball player .

Career

He played for CAI Saragossa in Spain in 2010/2011 after playing five seasons in the German basketball league from 2005 to 2010 . In 2011 he returned to the BBL and has since played for the German champions from 2009, the EWE Baskets from Oldenburg .

The 2.08 m tall and 115 kg center played from 2000 to 2004 at the University of Pennsylvania for the Quakers in the NCAA and then a season in South Korea for Ulsan Mobis Phoebus. He then moved to Germany, where he worked for the Gießen 46ers , Eisbären Bremerhaven and the Artland Dragons . In addition, Chubb took part with the US national team in the 2005 American Basketball Championship . For the 2008/09 season he moved to Alba Berlin . With Alba he won the German Cup in 2009 , which he had won the previous season with the Artland Dragons, and reached the round of the best 16 teams in the ULEB Euroleague . In the following season they made it to the final of the ULEB Cup . In the German championship they were eliminated in the play-offs in the semi-finals and in 2010 in the quarter-finals, which is a disappointment for the former series champions. After the 2009/10 season, therefore, the team of Alba was rebuilt and his contract dissolved, whereupon Chubb moved to the Spanish ACB league for the 2010/11 season to be promoted to Saragossa .

Chubb returned to Germany for the 2011/2012 season and signed a contract with EWE Baskets Oldenburg . In the course of the 2012/2013 season, Chubb extended his contract in Oldenburg until the summer of 2015. In the first few months of the 2013/14 season, Chubb had to largely sit out due to a torn ligament and a broken ankle in his ankle. After his contract in Oldenburg expired, Chubb did not receive a new contract with EWE Baskets in the summer of 2015. He has been playing for the Crailsheim Merlins since October 2015.
