Adam Keenan (born September 26, 1993 in Vicoria ) is a Canadian athlete who specializes in hammer throwing.
Athletic career
Adam Keenan gained his first international experience at the Pan American Junior Championships 2011 in Miramar , where he won the bronze medal with 66.22 m. A year later he took part in the Junior World Championships in Barcelona , but failed there with 66.56 m in qualification. In 2013 he won the bronze medal at the U23 NACAC championships in Kamloops with 68.35 m. In 2018 he took part in the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Goald Coast for the first time , where he finished fourth with 72.15 m. In August he won the bronze medal at the NACAC Championships in Toronto with 72.72 m behind Roberto Sawyers from Costa Rica and the American Alex Young .
In 2017 and 2018, Keenan was the Canadian hammer throw champion. He is a student at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff .
