Adelheid von Hanau (Klarenthal)
Adelheid von Hanau († November 13, 1440 ) was the youngest daughter of Ulrich V. von Hanau (* around 1370; † 1419) and his wife, Elisabeth von Ziegenhain (* around 1375; † December 1, 1431 ), daughter of Count Gottfried VIII von Ziegenhain .
Adelheid entered the Klarenthal monastery together with her sister Agnes in 1412 . On the occasion of this act, the sisters renounced all claims to the rule of Hanau . In return for this, they received the equipment required to enter the monastery . This was a common practice in aristocratic families to care for younger daughters.
Adelheid died on November 13, 1440 and was probably buried in Klarenthal Monastery.
