Adelheidstrasse 11

The house Adelheidstraße 11 is a listed villa in the city of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

Architecture and history

The villa was built in 1902 in historicist style. The client was the businessman Richard Gilardon , and the construction company Robert Riefenstahl's successor was responsible for the construction . The building, erected in a bay window and in a two-story gable in half-timbered construction, shows half-timbered motifs from the Lower Saxony half-timbered tradition. The lower parapet areas of the gable have wooden leg angles decorated with fan rosettes . St. Andrew's crosses and diamonds can be found in the top fields of the gable . The struts are partly slightly curved and have noses, which creates a richer appearance. The half-timbered floors each protrude a little. Cylindrical decorations are attached to the beam heads . In between there are profiled fillers . Ship throats with dew rods are incorporated into the threshold . Dew sticks also adorn the corner posts.

The fencing of the front garden with pillars and wrought iron fence panels is also under monument protection .
