The Adeline Hugo Stinnes 3 was a cargo ship that was requisitioned by the Imperial Navy of the German Reich during World War I and converted into a mother ship for seaplanes in 1918 .

The 2,709-ton ship was launched in 1909 with the Bremer Vulkan in Bremen- Vegesack from the stack . It was 104.2 m long and 13.8 m wide and had a 6.7 m draft. Its triple expansion steam engine generated 1700 hp and allowed a top speed of around 10 knots . The ship belonged to Hugo Stinnes Schiffahrt in Mülheim / Ruhr .

After the outbreak of war in August 1914, the ship was taken over by the Imperial Navy as a coal ship. At the beginning of 1918 it was converted into a seaplane mother ship. The ship could accommodate up to three seaplanes, which were parked unprotected on the deck. However, it is unclear whether the Adeline Hugo Stinnes 3 was ever used as an aircraft mother ship.

The ship was delivered to Belgium as a reparation payment after the end of the war . In 1936 it was sold to Finland and broken up in 1964.
