Adolf Bex

Adolf Bex (born December 6, 1907 in Dülken ; † December 2, 2001 ) was a German politician ( CDU ). From 1947 to 1966 he was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .

Life

After attending elementary school , Bex graduated from vocational school and in 1928 took the apprenticeship examination as a carpenter . In his profession he worked in Bremen , Berlin and Böhmisch-Kamnitz and also worked as an aircraft fitter. From 1927 to 1933 he was a member of the Windthorst Association and from 1928 he was a member of the German Kolping Family . From 1933 to 1938 he was the senior of the Kolping Family Dülken and district senior in the Niederrhein district .

Bex joined the CDU in 1945, of which he co-founded the city ​​association in Dülken. A year later he became a member of the city ​​council in Dülken and was CDU parliamentary leader until November 1949 . From November 1949 until January 1965 he was mayor of the city. From 1946 to 1947 Bex was a member of the district council and chairman of the CDU parliamentary group. On April 20, 1947, he became a member of the first legislative period in the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia , to which he was a member until July 23, 1966, when he left parliament after the fifth term. He was elected directly in constituency 034 Kempen-West in every election. The Landtag elected him a member of the second (1954) and third (1959) federal assemblies . Shortly before his resignation, it became known that in the early years of his parliamentary mandate he had illegally received payments for a fictitious loss of earnings for ten or even twelve years.
