Adolf Lehr

Adolf Lehr (born December 12, 1839 in Wiesbaden , † November 12, 1901 in Berlin ) was the managing director of the Pan-German Association and a member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Lehr attended grammar school in Wiesbaden, the mining academies in Clausthal , Freiberg and the universities of Heidelberg and Leipzig . He first studied mining and metallurgy , later political science in Leipzig . From 1862 he was an engineer at various ironworks, most recently from 1866 to 1873 director of Friedrich Wilhelmshütte in Gravenhorst near Hörstel , then technical advisor to the Allgemeine Unfall-Versicherungsbank in Leipzig , later its director and liquidator until 1892.

From 1894 he was managing director of the Pan-German Association and editor of the Pan-German sheets . For several years he was a member of the Chamber of Commerce in Osnabrück .

From 1898 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency Kingdom of Saxony 10 Döbeln , Nossen , Leisnig , and the National Liberal Party . His mandate ended with his death.
