Adolph Temper

Adolph Hermann Temper (born April 15, 1827 in Ruppertsgrün , † January 21, 1905 in Werdau ) was a German lawyer and national liberal politician . He was a member of the Saxon Landtag and the German Reichstag .

The son of the Protestant pastor Karl Gottlob Temper in Ruppertsgrün attended the grammar school in Plauen . After studying law at the University of Leipzig from April 1845 to January 1848 , he began practicing as a lawyer in Werdau in 1852 . From 1870 at the latest, he also worked as a notary . From 1870 he was a deputy member, in 1873 deputy secretary and from 1875 Secretary of the Bar Association Zwickau. From 1879 to 1901 he worked at the Royal District Court in Zwickau .

Temper had been married to Elise Sophie (1829–1905), daughter of the Reichenbach lawyer Karl Heinrich Speck, since 1853 . His brother-in-law Carl Bernhard Speck completed part of his practical training in Temper's office and later was mayor of Neustädtel .

Temper was politically active in the National Liberal Party ; he was a member of the board of the National Liberal State Association. He was a city councilor in his hometown of Werdau. From 1869 to 1871 he represented the 16th urban constituency in the Second Chamber of the Saxon State Parliament . From February 1887 to February 1890 he was a member of the Reichstag as a member of the 18th Saxon constituency .
