Adolf Wilhelm Rothley (born January 28, 1920 in Rockenhausen ; † March 12, 1971 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After graduating from primary school, Rothley completed an apprenticeship as an administrative clerk at the Rockenhausen Mayor's Office. From 1946 to 1964 he worked in the Rockenhausen district , where he became head of the social welfare office. Rothley was married and had one child.

Rothley joined the SPD in 1947. In 1952 he became chairman of the local Rockenhausen club and a member of the city ​​council . From 1956 to 1969 he was elected mayor of Rockenhausen. From 1955 to 1969 he was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament . There he was Vice President of the State Parliament from 1961 to 1969. Then he was district administrator of the newly formed Donnersbergkreis until his death .
