Adolfine Neumann (born February 5, 1822 in Karlsruhe , † April 8, 1844 in Vienna ) was a German theater actress .

Life

Neumann was a daughter of the actor couple Amalie Haizinger and Carl Neumann ; the future actress Luise Neumann (1818–1905) was her older sister. Like her sister, she received her artistic lessons from her mother and, with her support, was able to make her debut at the court theater in her home town in 1838 .

Together with her mother, she went to the Court Theater in Vienna the following year , where she also passed with flying colors. This was followed by an engagement at the city theater of Hamburg and from there she moved to the theater in Kassel .

From 1841 onwards Neumann undertook a major tour which took her to the stages of Berlin, Pest, Hanover, Stuttgart and Breslau for almost three years. After a guest appearance at the Stadttheater in Kassel and one at the Hofoper Berlin , a longer engagement at the Hoftheater in Vienna should follow. This did not happen, however, because Neumann died there shortly after her 22nd birthday on April 8, 1844.
