Adolfo Rodríguez Vidal
Adolfo Rodríguez Vidal (born July 20, 1920 in Tarragona , † November 8, 2003 in Santiago de Chile ) was Bishop of Los Ángeles .
Life
The Bishop of Madrid and Patriarch of the West Indies , Leopoldo Eijo y Garay , ordained him a priest on April 25, 1948 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Los Ángeles on July 6, 1988 . The Archbishop of Santiago de Chile , Juan Francisco Cardinal Fresno Larraín , consecrated him on August 28 of the same year as bishop ; Co- consecrators were José Manuel Santos Ascarza , Archbishop of Concepción , and Francisco de Borja Valenzuela Ríos , Archbishop ad personam of Valparaíso .
As a motto he chose Non ministrari sed ministrare . He resigned from his office on February 19, 1994.
