Adolphe Hennebains (born November 14, 1862 in Saint Omer , † September 17, 1914 in Primel Tregastel ( Brittany )) was a French flautist and university teacher .

Hennebains came from a large family of shoemakers. In 1878 he entered the class of Henri Altès at the Conservatoire de Paris and was awarded the Premier Prix in 1880. In the same year he became solo flutist in the Concerts Pasdeloup and - after military service - in 1884 solo flutist in the Concerts Lamoureux . In 1890 he joined the orchestra of the Paris Opera and became solo flutist there in 1892. From 1893 Hennebain was Paul Taffanel's assistant at the Paris Conservatoire and was his successor there in 1909. His students included u. a. René Le Roy , Marcel Moyse and Joseph Rampal. As a chamber music partner, Hennebains has performed with Ferruccio Busoni , Alfred Cortot , George Enescu and Wanda Landowska, for example .
