Adrian Mifsud (born December 11, 1974 in Ir-Rabat ) is a former Maltese football player on the position of a striker .

career

Born in Ir-Rabat, Mifsud began his career at local Rabat Ajax FC , where he received his first professional contract in 1995 .

At the beginning of the new millennium Mifsud moved to the Hibernians Football Club , where he played until the summer of 2004 and in whose ranks he experienced his greatest successes. In the 2001/02 season , Mifsud was significantly involved with his 28 goals in the championship win of the Hibernians and was voted Footballer of the Year in Malta in the same season . The fact that he was not also the top scorer was due to the fact that the Serbian striker Danilo Dončić from league rivals Sliema Wanderers scored 32 goals in the same season. In the following season 2002/03 Mifsud then 18 goals were enough to - together with Dončić and Michael Galea from FC Birkirkara - to be the top scorer in the Maltese Premier League .

In the 2004/05 season Mifsud played for the Maltese record champions Sliema Wanderers, but never came to fruition and scored only one goal in 18 games. As a consolation he had another championship title, which he won with the Wanderers this season. He then moved to the Wanderers' arch rivals, FC Floriana , where he returned to his old strength and scored 27 goals in 52 games.

In early 2008, Mifsud returned briefly to the Hibernians Paola before ending his active career with his hometown club Rabat Ajax.
