The Rabat Ajax FC is a Maltese football club from the city of Rabat whose origins date to the established in 1930 club Rabat Rovers FC decline. The club got its current name in 1980 through a merger with Rabat Ajax.
history
The club was national champion twice in the 1980s and also won the cup once. In the first decade of the 21st century, Rabat Ajax played primarily in the second division of Malta. Rabat Ajax took part in the 1980s twice in the UEFA Cup and the European Cup, but was eliminated in the first round.
The club's venue is the 17,000-seat Ta 'Qali Stadium , Malta's national stadium .
The most famous player in the club's history is Carmel Busuttil , who played for KRC Genk for five years in the Belgian first division between 1988 and 1994 and was Footballer of the Year in Malta in 1983 and 1986 . Silvio Vella had the same honor in 1994.
