Adrian Karl Quist (born August 4, 1913 in Medindie , Adelaide , South Australia , † November 17, 1991 in Sydney , New South Wales ) was an Australian tennis player . Quist won a total of 17 Grand Slam competitions (3 × singles, 14 × doubles), and once the Davis Cup . He was the only tennis player to win a Grand Slam tournament before and after World War II .
