Adrie Visser
Adriana "Adrie" Visser (born October 19, 1983 in Hoorn ) is a former Dutch cyclist .
Career
Adrie Visser began her sporting career as a speed skater and was able to place well in championships as a junior.
Then she switched to cycling. Since 2002 Adrie Visser has been Dutch champion eleven times on the track, in scratch , in points and in the single pursuit . In 2008 she won the Rotterdam four-day race for women together with Marianne Vos . Adrie Visser had her greatest international successes on the track at the World Track Championships in Stuttgart in 2003 and in Palma in 2007 , where she was third in the scratch.
Adrie Visser then shifted her focus to the road , where she had good placements and stage wins, and in 2009 she finished seventh in the overall ranking of the Tour of Qatar . In 2011 she won the Energiewacht Tour and the Sparkassen Giro Bochum . In 2007 she also won a mountain bike race.
In September 2013, Adrie Visser announced her retirement at the end of the season.
She lives with the cyclist Theo Bos (* 1983) in Wieringerwerf.
