Adrien-Jean Larribeau

Adrien-Jean Larribeau MEP (born February 4, 1883 in La Romieu , France , † August 12, 1974 ) was a French bishop of the Paris Mission in Korea .

Life

Larribeau was ordained a priest for the Paris Mission on March 10, 1907 .

On December 23, 1926, Pope Pius XI appointed him titular bishop of Dusa and coadjutor - Vicar Apostolic of Seoul . Gustave-Charles-Marie Mutel , Vicar Apostolic of Seoul, donated him episcopal ordination on May 1, 1927 ; Co -consecrators were Florian-Jean-Baptiste Démange , Vicar Apostolic of Taiku , and Bonifatius Sauer , Vicar Apostolic of Wonsan . On January 22, 1933, he succeeded Bishop Mutel as Vicar Apostolic of Seoul and resigned nine years later on January 5, 1942. Pope Pius XII appointed him on July 4, 1958 Vicar Apostolic of Daijeon . On March 10, 1962 he became the first bishop of Daejeion with the elevation of the Apostolic Vicariate to the diocese. He attended all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council . On November 6, 1963, he resigned as bishop and was appointed titular bishop of Thinis .
