The Roman Catholic Diocese of Daejeon ( Latin Dioecesis Taeieonensis , Korean 천주교 대전 교구 ) is in South Korea location Roman Catholic diocese based in Daejeon .

history

The Diocese of Daejeon was on June 23, 1958 by Pope Pius XII. Established with the Apostolic Constitution Sacro suadente from cession of territory by the Apostolic Vicariate Seoul as Apostolic Vicariate Daijeon . On March 10, 1962 the Apostolic Vicariate Daijeon was by Pope John XXIII. raised to a diocese with the Apostolic Constitution Fertile Evangelii and renamed the Diocese of Daejeon . It was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Seoul as a suffragan .
