Adrien Tailhand

Adrien Albert Tailhand (born July 1, 1810 in Aubenas , Département Ardèche , † October 8, 1889 ibid) was a French politician .

biography

After studying law , he became a civil servant in the municipal administration before he became royal prosecutor in Privas in 1844 . After a brief activity as a prosecutor in Draguignan , he was appointed General Procurator at the Court of Appeal in Nîmes in 1851 and was involved in the coup d'état of December 2, 1851, which Napoleon III. used to establish a dictatorship . In 1853 he was advisor to the court of Nîmes before he became president of a chamber of the court on October 11, 1869. He was also a member of the General Council of the Ardèche Department from 1865 to 1871, where he represented the canton of Montpezat-sous-Bauzon .

On February 8, 1871, he became a member of the National Assembly and represented the interests of the Ardèche department as a member of the Union des Droites until March 7, 1876. During this period he was Minister of Justice in the government of Prime Minister Ernest Courtot de Cissey from May 22, 1874 to March 10, 1875 .

After leaving the National Assembly, he was a member of the Senate from January 1876 to January 1885 .
