Adrienne Clostre

Adrienne Clostre (born October 9, 1921 in Thomery , † August 5, 2006 in Serrières ) was a French composer.

Clostre studied piano with Yves Nat and composition with Darius Milhaud , Jean Rivier and Olivier Messiaen at the Conservatoire de Paris . In 1949 she won the Premier Grand Prix de Rome with the cantata La Résurrection de Lazare .

The main focus of Clostre's compositional oeuvre was lyrical stage works inspired by literary works. She also composed instrumental music a. a. for piano, organ, cello and oboe. In 1955 she won the Grand Prix Musical de la Ville de Paris and in 1976 the Prix ​​Florence Gould of the Académie des Beaux-Arts .
