Vegetative characteristics

Aeonium cuneatum grows as a perennial , single or sometimes sprouting rosette plant . Its strong shoots are glabrous and smooth. Their cup-shaped rosettes reach a diameter of 15 to 50 centimeters. Inner leaves are usually tightly pressed together. The obovate to obovate-spatulate, almost bare leaves are 10 to 25 centimeters long, 5 to 8 centimeters wide and 0.5 to 0.9 centimeters thick. They are pointed towards the tip and have a little pointed tip. The base is wedge-shaped. The sometimes slightly wavy edge of the leaf is covered with conical eyelashes that are up to 0.4 millimeters long.

Generative characteristics

The inflorescence has a length of 18 to 60 centimeters and a width of 12 to 30 centimeters. The leafed inflorescence stalk is 12 to 30 centimeters long. The eight to nine-fold flowers are on a 1 to 6 millimeter long, slightly downy-haired pedicel . Your sepals are weakly downy hairy. The yellow, wrongly lanceolate, pointed petals are 6.5 to 7.5 millimeters long and 1.3 to 1.6 millimeters wide. The stamens are bare.

Chromosome number

The number of chromosomes is 2n = 36.

Systematics and distribution
