The Aeródromo de Fuentemilanos is a general aviation airfield in central Spain. It is located in the municipality of Fuentemilanos in the Segovia province around 20 kilometers west of the capital Segovia .

The airfield is approved according to the rules for visual flights (VFR) for light aircraft , gliders and helicopters . In addition to three hangars , a tower, a gas station with AV GAS 100 LL , the maintenance center and the flight school of the operating company AERONÁUTICA DEL GUADARRAMA SA, the tower frequency of the controlled airport is 123.40 MHz .

Next to the restaurant on the fenced 32-hectare airfield there is a campsite, which in addition to the 72 tent sites also includes six bungalows .

The airfield was opened in 1980, the founding story goes back to the initiative of Gerhart Berwanger, the long-time director of the gliding school at the airfield Oerlinghausen in Germany.

Trivia

In June 2014 the Spanish National Gliding Championships took place at the airfield.
