Aeugstertal is a hamlet in the political municipality of Aeugst am Albis in the Affoltern district in the canton of Zurich in Switzerland. The Götschihof home and a garage and workshop for Postbuses are also located in the Aeugstertal.
geography
It lies between the Aeugsterberg and the Albis . From Hausen am Albis a road leads past the Türlersee and along the Reppisch to Aeugstertal and on via Stallikon to Birmensdorf . A road leads from Aeugst am Albis via the hamlet of Müliberg to Aeugstertal.
history
The Borsikon , which was lost in the 16th century and was located in today's Aeugstertal, is mentioned in 883 as Porsinchova. In the Chloster house in Aeugstertal there was the Beguine monastery , which was closed before 1500 . The former monastery and the buildings of the disused silk weaving mill have been converted into residential and commercial spaces.
In the Riedhof mine , coal was mined mainly during the Second World War.
