Afërdita Dreshaj

Afërdita Dreshaj (born July 19, 1986 in New York City , United States ) is an Albanian singer and model .

Her parents immigrated from the Albanian-speaking part of Montenegro to Michigan , where Dreshaj grew up. In 2007 she took part in the Miss Shqiperia election and took 2nd place. In 2011 she was named Miss Universe Kosovo , which entitles her to participate in the 2011 Miss Universe election in Brazil . With Just kiss me , she released her first album in 2010.

The publication of a photo caused a sensation in which she and the Miss Universe applicant from Serbia , Anja Saranovic, smiled relaxed and familiar into the camera. After Dreshaj posted this picture on her Facebook page, it quickly spread on social networks. Both candidates were faced with charges of treason in their countries. She did not comment on the allegations and left the picture on her Facebook page.
