At the Africa Games 2019 in Morocco , from 20 to 24 August 2019, three competitions in the snooker billiards discipline were held at the Hôtel Farah in Casablanca , one each for men and women and a mixed competition.

Women singles

In the women's tournament on August 20, 2019, four players played against each other in a round robin format . The Moroccan Youssra Matine won all three games and thus won the gold medal, Gantan el-Askary from Egypt won silver and Hakima Kissai won the second medal for Morocco with bronze.

Mixed

On August 21, 2019 competition was mixed - double discharged. As with the women, the four doubles played in everyone against everyone . Here too, two medals went to Moroccan players; Yassine Bellamine and Hakima Kissai won gold without defeat, Amine Amiri and Youssra Matine won silver due to the better frame ratio ahead of the Egyptians Mohamed al-Akrady and Yara Sharafeldin .

Men singles

Since the four participants from Algeria and Tunisia did not compete, only four instead of the planned 16 games were played on August 22 and 23, 2019. The two best-placed players in both groups qualified for the main round on August 24, 2019. As in the two previous competitions, a Moroccan again won the gold medal in Amine Amiri . He defeated Abdelrahman Abdelhamid from Egypt in the final . In the game for third place, Yassine Bellamine secured bronze against Mohamed al-Akrady .

After his victory, Amiri was nominated by the African Association ABSC for the Snooker Main Tour seasons 2019/20 and 2020/21 .
