Other important branches of the economy have traditionally been forestry , dairy farming and fur farming . The largest employers were the electronics group Elpro Industrier , which mainly manufactures ship fittings , and the Fylkets Fellesvaskeri industrial laundry .

coat of arms

The municipal coat of arms of Agdenes was donated in 1991. The blazon reads "A red shield head in an ermine"; the ermine stands on the one hand for the fact that kings also lived in Agdenes in the Middle Ages, on the other hand for today's fur farming; According to the municipality, the red is "a symbol of strawberry cultivation, warmth of the heart or the blood from the ax of King Erik Blodøks ."
